Before You Order And Use
BT880 is a battery system tester, not a charger. Review the battery compatibility, lithium battery limitation, leakage test connection rule, and printer paper reminder before ordering or testing.
Not A Battery Charger
BT880 supports battery test, cranking test, charging system test, maximum load test, voltage/current monitoring, data printing, and data review. It does not charge batteries.
Lithium Battery Limitation
BT880 supports regular flooded, AGM flat plate, AGM spiral, GEL, and EFB batteries. It is not the lithium battery model; choose BT960 if lithium battery testing is required.
Correct Leakage Test Connection
For leakage current monitoring, connect the battery clamps correctly, disconnect the negative terminal as instructed, and use the special leakage clamp on the vehicle negative bus.
Temperature Affects Batteries
The built-in temperature sensor helps reduce the influence of ambient temperature on test results. Battery performance can vary in high or low temperature environments.
Thermal Paper Required

How To Use
BT880 provides guided battery system testing. Select the proper test mode, connect the clamps correctly, choose the battery type and rating standard, then review or print the result.
Select Test Mode
Choose battery test, cranking test, charging system test, maximum load test, V/A monitor, leakage test, data review, or data printing according to the inspection task.
Connect Clamps Correctly
Connect the red and black clamps to the battery terminals according to polarity. Reverse polarity protection is supported, but correct connection is still required for reliable testing.
Choose Battery Type And Standard
Select the correct battery type and rating standard, such as CCA, JIS, GB, SAE, MCA, CA, DIN, IEC, EN, or BCI, before running the battery test.
Monitor Leakage When Needed
For leakage current monitoring, disconnect the negative terminal as instructed, use the special leakage clamp on the negative bus, and observe the real-time waveform and current value.
Review Or Print Results
Use data review to check stored records or use the built-in thermal printer to print test results for work orders, customer records, and maintenance documentation.
