Before You Order And Use
Before You Order And Use
HTS708 is a large professional dry ice blasting machine. Confirm dry ice supply, compressed air, voltage, grounding, shipping, customs, and return policy before purchase.
Dry Ice Pellets
Preferably use 3mm dry ice pellets. Up to 8mm dry ice pellets may be used depending on setup and cleaning conditions.
Compressed Air Required
The machine requires stable compressed air. The original use note recommends 90 PSI or higher for proper operation.
Compressor Recommendation
A 1.5m³/min compressor with a 300L air tank is recommended to supply air pressure and store compressed air.
Dry Air Helps Prevent Clumping
A compressor with dehumidification is recommended because dry air can help reduce dry ice clumping during operation.
Voltage And Grounding
Confirm the required voltage version, plug, phase requirement, and socket grounding before ordering. The socket must be connected with an earth wire.
3m Standard Hose
The standard blasting hose is 3m. A longer hose can be customized up to 5m with extra cost; contact support before ordering.
Air Inlet Connection
The air inlet connection is a female 1/2 thread with an inner diameter of about 19mm.
Nozzle Options
Nozzle sizes are available in 5mm and 6mm. Select according to cleaning requirement and compressed air setup.
Shipping, Tariff And Return
Because HTS708 has high freight and customs cost, returns may not be supported after shipment. Confirm shipping, customs, tariff, and return policy with AUTOOL Store before ordering.
Setup And Safety Reminders
Wear protective goggles, ear protection, work clothes, gloves, and closed-toe protective shoes when operating the dry ice blaster.
Before work, set the ice feed speed to 0 and check whether condensate is blasted out of the nozzle.
After dry ice blasting, adjust dry ice flow to 0 and run the blasting gun for about 30 seconds to clear dry ice from the tray and tube.
Keep the dry ice tank clean when adding dry ice. Do not allow foreign objects to fall into the equipment.
HTS708 uses solid CO₂ particles. Ensure ventilation during operation.

How It Works
How It Works
HTS708 uses compressed air, low-temperature dry ice impact, and rapid sublimation expansion to help remove contaminants from the surface.
Compressed Air Acceleration
Compressed air accelerates dry ice particles through the blasting hose and nozzle toward the surface being cleaned.
Low-Temperature Impact
Dry ice at about -78.5°C creates a thermal shock effect that helps make deposits brittle and loosen the bond to the surface.
Sublimation Expansion
Upon impact, dry ice rapidly sublimates into CO₂ gas and expands in volume, creating a micro-explosion effect that helps lift contaminants.
Residue-Free Media
The dry ice becomes gas after impact, so no dry ice particles remain. Removed dirt or carbon deposits still need to be collected or cleaned away.
Applications
Applications
Use HTS708 for appropriate automotive and industrial cleaning tasks where water, chemicals, or secondary blasting media residue are not preferred.
Automotive Carbon Cleaning
Suitable for selected engine bay, cylinder combustion chamber, intake valve, throttle body, wheel hub, and underbody cleaning tasks under proper setup.
Professional Workshops
Designed for workshops that need repeated carbon deposit cleaning and faster non-chemical cleaning workflow.
Industrial Surface Cleaning
Can be used in automotive, electric power, rubber, plastic, chemical, printing, food, pharmaceutical, casting, ship, and aviation applications.
Residue-Sensitive Areas
Useful where users want to avoid water, chemical cleaning agents, or secondary media residue from traditional blasting methods.

Questions And Answers
These answers cover dry ice blasting, compressor requirements, dry ice pellet size, safety, residue, paint and rust limitations, model selection, hose customization, shipping, and return confirmation.
Dry ice blasting, also called dry ice cleaning, is a cleaning and surface preparation method that uses solid CO₂ particles accelerated in a pressurized air stream. The dry ice particles impact the surface and sublimate into CO₂ gas, helping remove dirt and contaminants without water, chemical solvents, or dry ice media residue.
Dry ice blasting works through impact, cold, and expansion. Compressed air accelerates dry ice particles through the nozzle. The low temperature of dry ice helps make contaminants brittle, and the dry ice sublimates on impact, expanding into gas and helping lift contaminants from the surface.
You need the HTS708 machine, suitable compressed air source, correct power supply, proper grounding, dry ice supply, blasting hose, applicator, nozzles, and protective equipment. Dry ice pellets are not included and should be purchased locally.
Preferably use 3mm dry ice pellets. The original use note states that up to 8mm dry ice pellets may be used, but suitability depends on cleaning setup, nozzle selection, air supply, and operating conditions.
HTS708 requires stable compressed air, and the original notes recommend 90 PSI or higher. A 1.5m³/min compressor with a 300L air tank is recommended. A compressor with dehumidification is preferred because it can help prevent dry ice from clumping together.
Use dry air when possible, keep the dry ice tank clean, and do not allow foreign objects to fall into the equipment. Before working, set the ice feed speed to 0 and check whether condensate is blasted out of the nozzle. After blasting, set dry ice flow to 0 and run the blasting gun for about 30 seconds to eject remaining dry ice from the tray and tube.
Dry ice blasting leaves no dry ice media residue because dry ice sublimates into gas on impact. However, the removed dirt, carbon deposit, paint, rust, or other contaminant still needs to be collected or cleaned away according to the application.
Dry ice blasting can remove failing paint or weakly bonded paint in some applications. It is not expected to remove strong, well-adhered paint. The result depends on paint adhesion, paint type, primer, surface material, pressure, nozzle, and operating conditions.
Dry ice blasting can remove loosely adhered rust, surface rust, oxidation, and salt. It cannot remove deeply adhered rust or pitting oxidation, and it is not suitable when a contoured or white metal finish is required.
Dry ice blasting requires proper precautions. Work in a well-ventilated area, because the machine uses solid CO₂ particles. Wear protective goggles, ear protection, gloves, work clothes, and closed-toe protective shoes. Avoid direct skin contact with dry ice to prevent cold injury.
Dry ice is usually purchased from industrial gas suppliers, welding supply companies, or regional dry ice suppliers. Dry ice cost varies by region and supply method. Dry ice pellets are not included with HTS708, so confirm local dry ice availability before ordering the machine.
HTS705 is the basic portable model with 5kg dry ice capacity and a lighter 60kg gross package. HTS708 is the standard professional model with 7.5kg dry ice capacity, single pressure gauge, handle, and about 88kg gross weight. HTS709 is the upgraded model with 7.5kg capacity and dual pressure gauges for more precise control.
The standard blasting hose is 3m. A longer hose may be customized up to 5m with extra cost. Contact AUTOOL Store before ordering if you need a custom hose length.
HTS708 is a large machine with relatively high shipping cost and customs cost, so returns may not be supported after shipment. Please contact AUTOOL Store before ordering to confirm voltage, compressor requirement, shipping, tariff, and return policy for your destination.
