Step-by-Step Workflow
Use CT500 to clean and test standard and GDI-family injectors by selecting the correct adapter, fluid, voltage, pressure, and function for the injector type.
Step 01
Identify Injector And Select Adapter
Confirm whether the injector is standard, GDI, EFI, or FSI, then select the correct connector, adapter, and required drive voltage.
Step 02
Add Cleaning Fluid And Run Ultrasonic Injector Cleaning
Fill the 1000 mL tank with professional ultrasonic cleaning or engine carbon cleaning fluid before starting the 70 W ultrasonic function. CT500 does not heat the tank.
Step 03
Mount Injectors And Plug Unused Positions
Install up to six injectors securely. When testing one injector, plug the other five positions.
Step 04
Add Test Fluid
Fill the testing circuit with professional injector test fluid or the stated 75%+ medical alcohol alternative. Do not use gasoline or cleaning solution as test fluid.
Step 05
Select Voltage And Parameters
Select 12V, 70V, or 120V according to the injector. If uncertain, start at 12V and increase gradually. Set pressure, simulated speed, pulse width, pulse count, time, and function as needed.
Step 06
Run Cleaning And Testing Functions
Run the required spray-pattern, flow, leak, simulated-speed, pulse, reverse-flush, or optional cleaning-without-removal modes.

Compare Results And Recover Fluid
Compare all injectors under identical settings, repeat the same tests after cleaning, and use the dual drain controls to discharge or recover fluids.

Interpret CT500 results only after the correct injector adapter, 12V / 70V / 120V drive setting, test fluid, pressure, speed, pulse width, pulse count, time, and test mode have been selected. Follow each row in sequence so the observed result leads to a defined adjustment, cleaning, retest, diagnosis, or replacement action.

Diesel Injectors: Cleaning Only
Diesel injectors can be ultrasonically cleaned, but CT500 does not support diesel injector testing.

75%+ Medical Alcohol Alternative
If professional fluid is unavailable, 75%+ medical alcohol may be used as an alternative, although cleaning effectiveness may be reduced and flammability precautions still apply.
Do Not Mix Fluids Or Dry-Run
Do not use cleaning liquid in the testing circuit, do not mix cleaning and testing fluids, and do not run ultrasonic cleaning without fluid in the tank.
Select Voltage Carefully
For GDI injectors, start from 12V and increase to 70V or 120V only when needed. Avoid using an incorrect voltage for an extended time.
