Product Overview
The AUTOOL BT360 is a digital automotive battery system tester for 12V/24V lead-acid starting batteries. It helps technicians and DIY users check battery health, cranking performance, and charging system status with quick on-screen results, data records, reverse polarity protection, and support for common global battery test standards.
Before You Order And Use
BT360 is a battery system tester, not a battery charger. Review version shipment, lithium battery limits, load test limits, and safe connection rules before ordering or testing.
New And Old Versions Ship Randomly
BT360 new and old versions may be shipped randomly. The functions are the same; only the color screen and LED screen appearance are different.
Tester, Not Charger
BT360 can run a charging system test, but it does not charge batteries. It is not a battery charger or battery maintainer.
Lithium Batteries Not Supported
BT360 is intended for supported lead-acid starting batteries. Choose BT960 if lithium battery support is required.
No Maximum Load Test
BT360 supports Battery Test, Cranking Test, and Charging System Test. It does not support Maximum Load Test.
Correct Clamp Connection
Connect the red clip to the positive terminal and the black clip to the negative terminal. Reverse polarity protection helps protect the tester, vehicle, and battery, but correct connection is still recommended.
Battery Test With Vehicle Off
When performing a battery test, make sure the vehicle is off first. Follow the device prompts for cranking and charging tests.
Safety Reminder
- Keep the work area dry, clean, bright, and well ventilated.
- Do not use the tester if the power cable or connection cable is damaged.
- Do not connect or disconnect test equipment while the ignition switch is on or the engine is running unless the test procedure requires it.
- Place the transmission in Park or Neutral, engage the handbrake, and avoid leaving the vehicle unattended during testing.
Product Comparison
Compare BT360 with higher-level AUTOOL battery system testers before choosing lithium battery support, maximum load test, data printing, thermal monitoring, or leakage current monitoring.

How It Works
BT360 uses conductance testing technology to estimate battery condition and help identify common starting and charging system faults.
Measure Conductance
The tester measures the battery’s electrical conductance, which reflects the chemical reaction ability of the battery plates.
Compare Reference Values
BT360 compares the measured conductance with standard values expected from a battery in good condition.
Estimate Condition
The result helps estimate battery health, capacity change, cold cranking capability, and whether further inspection or replacement may be needed.
How To Use
Connect BT360 directly to the battery clamps, select the correct battery type, test standard, and range, then follow the on-screen prompts for Battery Test, Cranking Test, and Charging Test.
Prepare The Vehicle
For Battery Test, make sure the vehicle is off. Keep the vehicle secure, engage the handbrake, and work in a dry and safe area.
Connect The Battery
Connect the red clip to the positive battery terminal and the black clip to the negative battery terminal.
Select Test Settings
Choose the battery type, the correct test standard, and the test range according to the battery label.
Run Battery Test
After setup, BT360 displays the battery test result within a few seconds and provides suggested result information.
Run Cranking Or Charging Test
For Cranking Test, follow the prompt to start the engine. For Charging Test, follow the prompt to raise speed to about 2500 RPM for 5 seconds, then press OK.
Use Notes
- Selecting the wrong battery type, standard, or range may affect the test result.
- Use the battery label to confirm CCA, CA, MCA, DIN, EN, SAE, GB, JIS, or other applicable standard before testing.
- If the result looks abnormal, recheck the clamp connection and settings, then test again.
- Contact support with photos or a short video if the issue remains.
