Confirm the Procedure
Identify the target system, permitted pressure or threshold, access point, valve state and openings that must be sealed.

Prepare the Machine
Inspect the power lead, air connection where required, hose and adapters. Add or confirm only the smoke oil specified by the manual.

Connect and Isolate
Use the correct adapter, make a leak-free connection to the selected test point, and isolate normal escape paths according to the vehicle procedure.

Run Air or Pressure Mode
Use Air Mode first and observe the pressure gauge and flow window under the selected test conditions.

Use Smoke to Inspect
Switch to Smoke mode when visual tracing is needed, allow the connected volume to fill, and inspect accessible joints, hoses and seals for escaping smoke.

Repair and Retest
Repair the confirmed escape path, repeat the same controlled test, and continue with functional diagnosis if the result is inconclusive or no smoke is visible.

Match Pressure to the System
The machine rating is not permission to apply its maximum to every vehicle system. Use the OEM or component procedure and the lowest appropriate controlled setting.
Confirm Air and Power
Connect SML330 to a stable DC 12 V / 5 A supply. Its built-in pump provides airflow; do not connect shop air to an unspecified port.
Protect People and Components
Work in a dry, well-ventilated area away from flame and hot sources; use eye and hand protection and avoid directing smoke at smoke-sensitive or precision electronic parts.
Inspect Hoses and Adapters
Do not operate with damaged power leads, hoses or adapters. Clean an opening before inserting an inflatable airbag so sharp edges do not puncture it.
Use Approved Smoke Machine Fluid

What air source does SML330 use?

Can I use the maximum pressure on an EVAP system?
