The AUTOOL HTS709 is a high-performance dry ice cleaning machine and dry ice blasting equipment with dual pressure display functions, designed for automotive engine carbon cleaning and professional workshop cleaning. It accelerates dry ice particles with high-speed airflow to quickly remove carbon deposits from engine compartments, cylinder combustion chambers, intake valves, throttle valves, vehicle undersides, and related areas. After cleaning, the dry ice rapidly vaporizes into gas, leaving no residue, moisture, or chemical pollution and causing no damage to the vehicle surface when used properly.
Compared with other AUTOOL dry ice blaster machine models, HTS709 is further optimized and upgraded for uninterrupted operation, stronger reliability, and more precise control. With its new design, it can start working as long as the air pressure is above 4 kg-f/cm², making it suitable for users who need professional cleaning performance and accurate pressure monitoring.
Review dry ice pellet size, compressor setup, power connection, hose length, nozzle size, shipping, tariff, and return policy before ordering HTS709.
Dry Ice Pellets
Recommended dry ice pellet size is 3mm. Up to 5mm dry ice pellets are supported.
Air Pressure Requirement
The machine requires 90 PSI or more for proper operation. The new design can start working when air pressure is above 4 kg-f/cm².
Compressor Setup
Suggested compressor setup is 1.5m³/min with a 300L air tank. A dehumidification function is recommended to prevent dry ice from clumping.
Power And Socket
The machine does not run on single phase. The socket must be connected with an earth wire for safe operation.
Hose And Nozzle
The standard blasting hose is 3m. Custom hose length up to 5m is available with extra cost. Nozzle sizes are available in 5mm and 6mm.
Shipping And Return Note
HTS709 has relatively high shipping cost and may involve customs duties, so returns are not supported. Tariff policy varies by country; contact support before ordering if you have questions.
Key Features
Key Features
Dry ice cleaning offers strong advantages over chemical solvents, hydrogen-oxygen machines, and walnut blasters. It is a physical carbon removal process that does not require engine disassembly, avoids abrasive residue, and leaves no secondary pollution after cleaning.
No Disassembly
Dry ice cleaning can remove carbon deposits without unnecessary engine disassembly, helping reduce service time.
Physical Carbon Removal
Compared with hydrogen-oxygen machine cleaning, dry ice cleaning is a physical process and avoids potential impact on sensitive parts such as catalytic converters.
No Abrasive Residue
Unlike walnut blaster cleaning, dry ice blasting avoids abrasive particle wear and media residue because dry ice sublimates after impact.
Eco-Friendly Cleaning
The process is non-toxic, harmless, chemical-free, water-free, and does not create a secondary waste stream.

How It Works
How It Works
Dry ice blasting uses compressed air as the power source to accelerate dry ice particles to high speed and blast them onto the contaminated surface. The cleaning effect comes from impact, low-temperature thermal shock, and rapid CO₂ expansion.
Impact
Compressed air accelerates soft dry ice particles through specially designed nozzles, creating the kinetic force needed to loosen contaminants.
Cold Shock
Dry ice at about -78.5°C / -78.9°C makes carbon deposits, oil residue, and contaminants brittle, helping break the bond between the contaminant and surface.
Expansion
Dry ice sublimates instantly on impact and expands nearly 800 times in volume, creating a micro-explosion effect that removes surface contaminants.

Questions And Answers
These answers cover dry ice blasting basics, working principle, benefits, setup requirements, compressor requirements, dry ice supply, safety, paint removal, rust removal, mold remediation, residue, model selection, and hose customization.
Dry ice blasting, also called dry ice cleaning, is an environmentally sustainable cleaning and surface preparation technique. Like sandblasting, grit blasting, and soda blasting, it uses a pressurized air stream to clean surfaces. Instead of abrasive media, it uses recycled CO₂ pellets that blast at high speed and sublimate on impact to remove dirt and contaminants.
The process is non-abrasive, non-conductive, non-flammable, non-toxic, chemical-free, water-free, and does not create a secondary waste stream. When dry ice hits the surface, it changes from solid CO₂ to gaseous CO₂.
Dry ice blasting works through three main effects: impact, cold, and expansion. Impact comes from compressed air accelerating soft dry ice particles through specially designed nozzles. Cold comes from the low temperature of dry ice at about -109°F / -78.9°C, making contaminants brittle and helping break the bond between the substrate and the contaminant. Expansion occurs when dry ice pellets sublimate on impact, expand in volume, and remove contaminants from the surface.
Dry ice blasting can clean equipment in place with little or no disassembly. It is a dry cleaning method that uses no water or chemicals, helps reduce downtime, produces no secondary waste, improves cleaning quality, reduces equipment wear, and provides an environmentally sustainable cleaning method.
In addition to the dry ice blaster, the system needs blasting hose, air hose, nozzles, tips, a compressed air source, a power supply, and a dry ice supply. If using a portable diesel compressor as the air source, an aftercooler may be useful because it removes most of the moisture from the system and cools the air closer to ambient temperature depending on humidity level.
HTS709 requires 90 PSI or more for proper operation. The suggested setup is a 1.5m³/min compressor with a 300L air tank. A compressor with dehumidification function is recommended because it can help prevent dry ice from clumping and reduce moisture-related pipeline problems.
Most users purchase dry ice pellets or blocks from industrial gas suppliers, welding supply companies, and regional or local suppliers. Dry ice can be purchased as needed, or regular deliveries can be arranged. For manufacturers that regularly require large quantities of dry ice or operate in remote areas, a dry ice production machine may be worth considering.
Dry ice is a commodity, and prices vary by region. Check with local industrial gas suppliers or welding supply companies for current pricing and delivery options.
Use proper ventilation and appropriate personal protective equipment when handling solid dry ice and operating a dry ice blaster. Wear earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, and closed-toe safety shoes. Avoid direct skin contact with dry ice because extremely low temperatures can cause cold burns.
Dry ice blasting can remove failing or weakly bonded paint, but its mild-to-medium strength may not always be enough. Paint adhesion, paint type, and primer affect the result. In some cases, even high-pressure blasting can be slow or ineffective.
Dry ice blasting can remove loosely adhered rust, surface rust, oxidation, and salt, but it will not remove deeply adhered rust or pitting oxidation. Because dry ice is non-abrasive, it is not suitable for creating contoured or white metal finishes. Deep rust still requires physical grinding or other methods.
When following IAQA standards, dry ice blasting can remove 99.9% of mold spores faster than traditional cleaning methods. It produces no secondary waste, reduces mold remediation time, uses no chemicals, and can deodorize the affected area.
No. Dry ice sublimates on impact and leaves no blasting media residue, water residue, or chemical residue. This reduces cleanup, secondary waste disposal, and preparation work such as masking delicate sensors or wrapping electronic components.
Choose HTS705 if you need a basic portable model with 5kg dry ice capacity and a flat nozzle included by default. Choose HTS708 if you need a standard professional model with 7.5kg dry ice capacity for regular workshop use. Choose HTS709 if you need the upgraded flagship model with dual pressure gauges for more precise control and more complex cleaning work.
Yes. The standard blasting hose is 3m. A longer hose can be customized up to 5m, with extra fees. Contact AUTOOL Store before ordering for customization details.
