- Photo And Video Recording

Key Features
Four-Way Control with a 5 mm Camera
Match The Probe To The Opening
The 5 mm probe and 1 m flexible hose provide a defined access size and reach. Check the complete tip and turning space against the actual entry path.
Four-way Articulation
Use four-way control to aim the probe across the available steering range; the 720° designation describes articulation rather than continuous tip rotation.
Standalone 4.3-Inch Display
View the live inspection on the integrated color screen without installing a phone app or using a separate mobile display.
1 MP Imaging
The camera specification is 1280×720 with a 1 MP sensor. Image quality still depends on target distance, lighting and surface conditions.
15–100 mm Viewing Range
A 90° viewing angle and 15–100 mm depth-of-field specification help match the optics to the target. Keep the surface within a clear viewing range.
Adjustable Probe Lighting
8 LEDs provide three brightness levels, plus a light-off setting. Adjust illumination to reduce dark areas or reflections.
Up To 8× Digital Zoom
Use up to 8× digital zoom to enlarge captured detail on the display; set focus and lighting before zooming for the clearest image.
Photo, Video And Playback
Use the handle capture button to record photos or video, then review the files with playback and image-rotation functions.
Removable TF Storage
The removable TF card slot supports up to 32 GB. Keep original JPG photos and AVI recordings, and confirm the supplied card with the selected package.
Magnetic Positioning
Attach the magnetic base to a suitable ferrous surface to support positioning while guiding the probe.
Braided Flexible Hose
The 1 m stainless-steel-braided hose and approximately 32 mm articulation radius define the probe assembly. Avoid coiled operation or forced bending.
Articulation Service-Life Specification
The articulation specification is approximately 20,000 cycles. Actual life depends on conditions and handling; it is not a guarantee of a fixed number of vehicle inspections.
Rechargeable Power
A 3.7 V / 3500 mAh battery supports approximately six hours of continuous use under the manual’s stated conditions. Charge with DC 5 V / 1 A; fast charging is not supported.
14-Language Menu
Select English, Chinese (simplified or traditional), French, Spanish, German, Czech, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Dutch, Turkish or Polish.
Probe Protection And Heat Shutdown
The probe is rated IP67, and the device shuts down when its temperature exceeds the 85°C protection threshold. Keep the main unit dry and follow the manual’s separate operating conditions.
3 Years Warranty Support
Main unit: 3-year warranty. Standard accessories: 1-year warranty. Warranty Policy.
How to Use
Measure the Entry, Insert, Steer, Record, and Withdraw
Define The Inspection Target
Identify the vehicle, symptom, entry point and surface you need to see. Confirm that the V83 probe and viewing range suit that path.
Check The Equipment
Inspect the tip and cable, charge the device, check steering and lighting, and verify that photos or video can be saved.
Prepare The Vehicle
Follow the vehicle service procedure to isolate moving and live parts, cool the inspection area and prepare a clean access point.
Guide And Illuminate
Insert gently while watching the live image. Use the steering control and lighting to bring the target into the specified clear viewing range; never force a bend.
Record The Findings
Capture the target from useful angles and identify the component, entry point and viewing direction. Keep uncertain observations separate from confirmed conclusions.
Withdraw And Store
Return the tip as instructed, withdraw gently and check that the probe is intact. Clean, dry and store it according to the model manual, then review the files with the vehicle diagnostic evidence.
Safety & Compatibility
Confirm Probe Fit, Bend Path, Heat, and Liquids
Match The Access Path
Match the complete probe tip and bend path to the narrowest opening and available turning space.
Inspect A Cooled, Isolated Vehicle
Prevent unintended engine movement and electrical operation. Wait for components to cool to the limits in the V83 manual before inserting the probe; a heat alarm is a protection event, not a working-temperature rating.
Protect The Probe And Main Unit
IP67 applies to the specified probe, not the screen or handle. Confirm permitted liquids and contact conditions separately; do not infer oil, fuel or solvent compatibility from the IP rating.
Withdraw Without Force
Use the steering control to return the tip to a position that can clear the entry path. Stop if resistance is felt; follow the model manual and vehicle procedure rather than pulling harder.
Keep The Inspection Evidence
Record the entry point, component, viewing direction and any areas you could not inspect. Use the vehicle procedure and supporting tests before making a repair decision.
Charge At The Specified Voltage
Use DC 5 V / 1 A charging. Do not use a fast-charge mode, and follow the manual for cable and battery handling.
Inspection Results
Review Images by Direction and Inspection Location
Record the Visible Condition
Record the location and visible deposits, marks, liquid, or foreign material, then compare the image with the applicable service information.
Recheck Focus, Light And Direction
If the image is unclear, adjust target distance and brightness, clean the lens as instructed and compare another viewing angle. A reflection or shadow can resemble a defect.
Save the Inspection View
Save the original image or video with the component and viewing direction, and inspect additional angles where coverage is incomplete.
Choose The Next Test
Use OEM reference images and the applicable diagnostic procedure. Compression, leak-down, other measurements or disassembly may still be required when the picture is inconclusive.

FAQs
5 mm Four-Way Inspection Questions
Does V83 need a phone or app?
No. The integrated 4.3-inch screen provides live viewing, recording playback and device controls.
Will the probe fit every engine opening?
The probe diameter is 5 mm; confirm the tip geometry, entry path, turning space, and target distance for the inspection point.
What does the articulation specification mean?
Four-way control steers the tip in four directions across the stated articulation range; the 720° name does not indicate continuous rotation.
Can I inspect a hot engine?
Cool and isolate the vehicle according to the applicable procedure. The 85°C shutdown is a protective threshold, not a continuous operating-temperature rating.
Is the entire device waterproof or oil-proof?
No. IP67 is a probe rating. Keep the main unit dry and confirm permitted liquids and contact conditions in the manual.
Does 8× zoom reveal more optical detail?
Digital zoom enlarges the captured image for review. Adjust focus, distance, and lighting before zooming because zoom cannot recover detail that was not captured.
How do I keep inspection evidence?
Save the original JPG photo or AVI recording on compatible TF storage and export it for review. Record the vehicle or work order, component, entry point, viewing direction and any limits.
What should I do if the probe resists withdrawal?
Stop pulling. Return the tip using the control as instructed and follow the model and vehicle procedures. Do not restart the engine with the probe inserted.
Can the image diagnose the root cause by itself?
The image is visual evidence from the inspected location. Use reference images and the prescribed supporting tests before deciding on a repair.
What should I confirm with the order?
Confirm the exact model, supplied storage card and accessories, charging requirements, regional warranty and repair arrangements.
