Cool The Engine First
Engine areas can remain very hot after shutdown. Wait until the engine has fully cooled before inserting the probe; in many cases this may take about 1-2 hours.
Avoid High Heat Around The Probe
Do not place the probe, hose, or camera cable into high-temperature areas above 75°C. The specification image lists an operating environment of -10°C to 80°C, but avoiding heat above 75°C is the safer customer-use rule.
