Key Features

HTS558 combines integrated spray-and-recovery cleaning, media management, intake carbon removal, adapter coverage, external-air blasting, workshop mobility, and product support.

5 Intake Adapters For Different Port Shapes

The machine includes 5 types of adapters to support different intake port shapes and cleaning setups. Match the adapter to the specific engine and intake-port shape before cleaning.

Spray And Vacuum Recovery Together

HTS558 sprays walnut abrasive and recovers it by vacuum in the same process, helping reduce scattered media and manual cleanup during intake carbon cleaning.

Built-In Dust Filter For Collected Media And Carbon Residue

The built-in dust filter helps manage collected walnut abrasive and carbon residue during recovery. The dust filter supports media recovery, but reuse depends on media condition, moisture, and the service procedure for the specific vehicle.

Intake Valve Carbon Cleaning with Integrated Recovery

Walnut-shell blasting helps remove carbon from intake-manifold areas and the backs of intake valves, while integrated vacuum recovery collects loosened residue and media. Results vary with vehicle condition and diagnosis.

  • Add about 2–4 kg of compatible 0.6–1.2 mm walnut abrasive.
  • Keep the media dry and free of clumps.

Before You Start

Safety & Compatibility

Before using HTS558, check the compressor, walnut abrasive, cleaning target, adapter seal, intake-valve position, required personal protective equipment (PPE), and final residual-media recovery steps. Always follow the service procedure for the specific vehicle when it differs from general product guidance.

External Compressor Required

HTS558 requires an external high-pressure air compressor. The compressor is not included.

Dry Filtered Air And Airflow

Use an external compressor; 6 bar or more is generally recommended. Use dry, filtered air with sufficient continuous airflow, and make sure the air tank, hose, quick-connect fittings, and compressor duty cycle are suitable for continuous blasting.

Walnut Abrasive

Use compatible 0.6–1.2 mm walnut-shell abrasive. Add about 2–4 kg of compatible 0.6–1.2 mm walnut abrasive. Walnut abrasive is not included.

Cleaning Scope

HTS558 is designed for cleaning the intake pipe, intake manifold, and the backs of the intake valves; it is not designed for fuel injectors, throttle valves, cylinders, or combustion chambers.

Adapter Fit And Sealing

The five supplied adapter types cover multiple intake-port shapes, but the adapter still needs to match the specific engine and port geometry. Before cleaning, confirm that the selected adapter fits the engine intake port and forms a secure seal.

Valve Closure And Port Isolation

Start blasting only after confirming that the target intake valve is fully closed. Clean one intake port at a time and isolate other intake openings as required by the service procedure for the specific vehicle.

Residual Media Control

Before starting the engine, vacuum out the remaining abrasive and inspect the cleaned area to make sure no visible media remains. Remove visible residual abrasive before starting the engine instead of relying on it to burn away.

Protective Equipment and Walnut-Media Safety

Use suitable eye and respiratory protection, ventilation, and the media supplier Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Walnut-shell abrasive can create dust and may present allergen concerns.

Walnut Abrasive Reuse

Reuse walnut abrasive only when the service procedure for the specific vehicle permits it and the recovered media condition remains suitable for reuse.

Mechanical Cleaning and Chemical Cleaner Guidance

HTS558 is designed for mechanical removal of intake carbon deposits. Chemical cleaners vary by product and application, and no cleaning method guarantees a specific performance improvement.
