The AUTOOL AST609 is a pulsating brake fluid changer for brake and clutch fluid service on many European, American, and Asian vehicles. It supports adjustable pressure, one-person operation, two-wheel simultaneous brake fluid exchange, used-fluid recovery, seven reservoir adapters, and DOT3, DOT4, and DOT5.1 brake fluid service.

Brake fluid service affects braking safety. Confirm pressure, fluid type, hose condition, adapter sealing, and first-use air emptying before starting the AST609 brake fluid exchange process.

First-Use Air Emptying Required

Air-emptying must be performed before first use. Fill the equipment line with brake fluid and remove air before connecting the device for normal vehicle service.

Use Correct Working Pressure

The pressure regulator is typically set around 1-1.5 bar before leaving the factory to help protect the fluid reservoir chamber and secondary sealing ring.

Avoid Excessive Pressure

Lower pressure may be used for exhaust or fluid replacement when suitable. Excessive pressure may damage the brake master cylinder or sealing components.

Check Connections Before Use

Before changing brake fluid, check every connection for leaks and inspect the connection hoses for damage.

Keep New Fluid Port Clean

Keep the new brake fluid filler port clean. Do not allow dust, water, old oil, or debris to enter the new fluid supply.

Use Brake Fluid Only

Use the AST609 only for brake and clutch brake-fluid service. Other liquids may damage the brake maintenance device.

  • Brake fluid is toxic. Avoid skin and eye contact, and wear suitable safety goggles and protective gloves.
  • Only trained users should operate brake maintenance equipment.

How To Use

How To Use

Perform air-emptying during first startup, then connect the correct adapter, new-fluid bottle, filling hose, and recovery bottle before starting brake fluid exchange.

Prepare The Machine

Place the brake fluid exchanger firmly on a flat surface. Make sure the filling hose is not under mechanical tension when the vehicle is lifted.

Fill The New-Fluid Bottle

Unscrew the filling cover, pour new brake fluid into the bottle, and insert the suction hose and pressure balance hose down to the bottom of the bottle.

Perform First-Use Air Emptying

Before first use, connect the suction hose into the brake fluid filling bottle, turn on the equipment, and drain brake fluid through the adapter into the recovery bottle until air is removed.

Connect The Vehicle Adapter

Select the correct brake-fluid reservoir adapter, connect the filling hose to the reservoir through the adapter, and check that the adapter is sealed securely.

Connect The Recovery Bottle

Connect the recovery bottle to the brake fluid sub-cylinder according to the vehicle manufacturer’s bleeding sequence.

Start Fluid Exchange

Connect power, select the correct pressure mode, press the start button, and wait until the fluid exchange is completed and clean fluid flows steadily without air bubbles.
