AUTOOL BT10

Product Overview

The AUTOOL BT10 EPB Release Tool is designed to temporarily release or engage an electronic parking brake during EPB system failure, emergency towing, workshop vehicle movement, and rear brake maintenance. The release mode helps quickly disengage the EPB so the vehicle can exit the parked state, while the braking mode engages the EPB again to support safe parking.

Compared with forced disassembly or violent resetting methods, the BT10 EPB reset tool can help reduce repair cost, protect brake components, and save working time during troubleshooting or maintenance. It is a temporary service tool, not a permanent repair for EPB faults.

Key Features

Key Features

The BT10 combines dual-channel forward / reverse motor control, overload protection, reverse polarity protection, power-on self-check, and built-in fuse protection for safer temporary EPB release and engagement.

Dual-Channel Control

Supports forward and reverse motor control to quickly release or engage the EPB with one-button operation.

Emergency EPB Release

When the EPB cannot release because of sensor failure, control module malfunction, wiring issues, or unexpected system failure, the BT10 helps temporarily disengage the brake for repair or rescue.

Braking Mode

The reverse / braking mode can engage the EPB again after service or movement, helping support safe parking when the operation is complete.

Overload Protection

When applying or releasing the EPB, voltage output lasts for only about 1 second and then automatically stops, even if the button is held down.

Multiple Circuit Protections

Includes reverse polarity protection, automatic power-on self-check, green operating status indicator, overcurrent protection, and a built-in 5A fast-blow fuse.

Lower Repair Risk

Helps avoid damage to the EPB motor, brake caliper, and brake wheel cylinder that may be caused by forced disassembly or violent resetting.

Applications

Applications

Use the BT10 in temporary EPB release scenarios where quick brake release is needed for rescue, repair, maintenance, or vehicle movement.

EPB System Troubleshooting

If a sensor failure, control module malfunction, wiring harness fault, or other defect prevents the EPB from releasing, technicians can use the BT10 to disengage the brake during inspection and repair.

Emergency Road Rescue

When an EPB locks up after an unexpected incident, the tool can quickly release the brake so the vehicle can be moved, helping prevent tire damage caused by forced dragging.

Workshop Vehicle Movement

When an electronic handbrake locks because of power or circuit failure, the BT10 helps release the brake so the vehicle can be relocated in a workshop or dealership.

Brake Repair And Maintenance

When servicing brake calipers, replacing rear brake pads, or maintaining the brake wheel cylinder, the EPB reset tool helps release the brake and avoid forced disassembly damage.

How To Use

How To Use

Use BT10 only with proper DC 10V-14V power and trained operation. Stop immediately if the motor direction or EPB response does not match the expected operation.

Prepare Power

Prepare a fully charged spare battery and check that the built-in 5A fuse is intact before operation.

Connect Clamps

Connect the red clamp to the positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal. When power is normal, the indicator turns on.

Connect EPB Interface

Connect the EPB terminal interface to the vehicle’s external electronic parking brake drive port before operating the rocker switch.

Release Or Brake

Use the rocker switch to select braking or release. Release the switch promptly when the brake caliper reaches the end position to avoid unnecessary drive force.

Operation Notes

  • BT10 is only for temporarily releasing or engaging the EPB during repair, rescue, or maintenance. It is not a permanent repair for EPB faults.
  • Use the device only with DC 10V-14V power.
  • Prepare a fully charged spare battery before operation.
  • Check that the built-in 5A fuse is intact before use.
  • Connect the red clamp to positive and the black clamp to negative.
  • Do not connect or disconnect test equipment while the ignition is on or the engine is running.
  • Release the rocker switch promptly after the brake caliper reaches the end position.
  • If the motor direction does not match the operation description, the forward / reverse direction may be reversed. Stop and confirm the connection and vehicle port.
