Before You Order And Use
Review the DC 12V power requirement, testing oil rule, airflow regulator, operating time limit, overheat protection, and hot-surface warning before using the SDT205S smoke test machine.
DC 12V Battery Required
The SDT205S smoke leak detector must be connected to a DC 12V car battery before operation.
Testing Oil Not Included
Use liquid paraffin or baby oil as the testing liquid. Testing oil is usually purchased locally due to logistics restrictions.
Add 10-15ml Only
Fill 10-15ml testing oil before use. Do not overfill, because excess oil can reduce the space needed for stable smoke generation.
Open Airflow Regulator
Before use, gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve, then choose the proper air or smoke mode for the test.
Refill Only When Smoke Is Thin
Only add fresh oil when smoke becomes thin. Do not add more than 15ml each time, and drain old oil before refilling.
8-Minute Use Limit
Do not run the detector continuously for more than 8 minutes. Allow the unit to rest between test cycles.
75°C Protection
The intelligent protection system stops operation when the temperature exceeds 75°C. Use the machine again after it cools down.
Avoid Sensitive Parts
During leak detection, keep smoke away from smoke-sensitive parts and avoid applying smoke to unsuitable high-pressure systems.
Hot Surface Warning

How To Use
Use SDT205S with a DC 12V battery and 10-15ml liquid paraffin or baby oil. Open the airflow regulator before testing, then select the proper air or smoke mode for low-pressure leak detection.
Add Test Oil
Fill 10-15ml baby oil or liquid paraffin into the detector before use. Do not overfill.
Open The Regulator
Gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve, then prepare the machine for air mode or smoke mode.
Connect The Test Pipe
Open the engine cover, hang the detector if needed, disconnect the pipe that needs testing, and connect it to the detector.
Connect DC 12V Power
Connect the detector to a DC 12V car battery, then turn on the power switch so the detector starts working.
Observe Pressure And Flow
Use the pressure gauge and flow meter window to observe the test. Adjust flow carefully according to the pipe system being tested.
Locate Leaks
After smoke enters the pipe, check visible leak points. Use a headlamp if necessary for easier inspection.

First pressurize the air-conditioning pipeline using the proper method, then spray smoke near the suspected area and observe whether airflow blows the smoke. If the smoke is disturbed by airflow, that location may indicate a leak point for further repair confirmation.
