Product Overview
The AUTOOL SC301 is a 2-in-1 automotive cooling system tester and coolant vacuum filler for cooling system vacuuming, coolant filling, and pressure leak detection. It uses vacuum extraction and pressure-holding detection to help users check cooling system sealing, remove air pockets, and refill coolant more efficiently with one-person operation.
Click to enlargeBefore You Order And Use
Confirm the power supply, air compressor, coolant type, radiator temperature, and drain-valve position before testing or filling a cooling system.
DC 12V Only
Use a car battery or DC 12V power supply. Do not connect the SC301 to 24V, 110V, 220V, or 380V power.
Air Compressor Required
Connect the air inlet hose to an external air compressor. A compressor rated around 0.7MPa or higher is recommended before operation.
Vehicle Ignition Not Required
The cooling system test and coolant filling process does not require starting the vehicle.
Cool Before Opening
Before opening the radiator cap or coolant reservoir, make sure the radiator and cooling system have cooled down.
Use Suitable Coolant
Avoid low-quality coolant. Do not mix coolants with different performance specifications, and do not add undiluted coolant directly in low-temperature conditions.
Use Lower Pressure For Older Vehicles
For older vehicles or aging cooling system parts, choose a lower pressure level instead of higher settings.
Safety And Setup Notes
- Use the SC301 only for automotive cooling system testing and coolant filling.
- Open the drain valve before starting Testing Mode or Filling Mode. The valve is open when it aligns parallel to the air hose.
- Operate in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling gas during leak detection.
- Inspect the equipment before use. If damage is found, stop using the machine and arrange qualified repair.
- When draining residual coolant, work in an open area or use a container to collect the liquid.
Key Features
SC301 combines leak detection, coolant vacuuming, automatic filling, adjustable pressure levels, clear leak indicators, and adapter-based vehicle compatibility in one automated cooling system service tool.
Two Operation Modes
Filler Mode removes residual air and refills coolant. Tester Mode checks cooling system sealing through vacuuming and pressure holding.
Automatic Coolant Filling
After vacuuming is complete in Filling Mode, the machine automatically starts adding coolant to the cooling system.
Pressure Leak Detection
In Testing Mode, the machine enters pressure-holding detection and provides an automatic leak indication after the hold period.
Three Pressure Settings
Choose -35KPa, -40KPa, or -45KPa based on the working condition and vehicle configuration.
Digital Control Panel
The panel separates Filling Mode and Leak Detection Mode, with digital display, pressure knob, working indicator, and start/stop buttons.
Red And Green Indicators
A green light indicates no leakage. A red light indicates leakage, helping users judge cooling system status more quickly.
One-Person Operation
The high-automation workflow helps reduce manual effort and supports faster coolant replacement and cooling system inspection.
Wide Adapter Support
Three adapter fittings help connect the tool to many common coolant reservoir openings for filling and leak detection.
Warranty And Maintenance
The main unit is covered by a 3-year warranty, and included accessories are covered by a 1-year warranty under eligible conditions.
Applications
SC301 is designed for automotive cooling system leak detection and coolant filling. The included adapter fittings help fit many common coolant reservoir openings, but vehicle fitment should still be confirmed before use.
Cooling System Leak Check
Use Testing Mode to help check main cooling system pipelines, engine coolant hoses, heater cores, and related cooling system sections.
Coolant Replacement
Use Filling Mode to vacuum the system and add coolant, helping reduce air mixed into the cooling system during refilling.
Three Adapter Sizes
The package image and adapter image show three fittings marked around 33mm, 41mm, and 52mm for different reservoir openings.
Most Vehicle Cooling Reservoirs
The universal adapter design supports many vehicle models, but it should not be described as fitting every vehicle without checking the reservoir opening.
Follow the setup order, select Testing Mode or Filling Mode, use the correct pressure level, and drain residual coolant safely after service.
Basic Setup
Connect the air compressor hose to the air source input. Open the drain valve, place the air source output hose into a used coolant recovery container, place the liquid input hose into the new coolant container, connect the filling hose to the vehicle coolant reservoir with the proper adapter, connect to a 12V battery, then select the mode and start.
Mode Display Logic
On startup, Testing Mode and Filling Mode show their gear selections. When one mode is selected, the gear display for the other mode disappears so the user can confirm the active mode more easily.

Questions And Answers
These answers cover power supply, air compressor use, pressure level selection, Testing Mode, Filling Mode, adapters, coolant requirements, package contents, and warranty.
Yes. SC301 requires an external air compressor connected to the air source input. A compressor rated around 0.7MPa or higher is recommended for proper operation.
No. SC301 is designed for DC 12V power only. Using 24V, 110V, 220V, or 380V may damage the equipment.
No. Vehicle ignition is not required for SC301 cooling system testing or coolant filling.
SC301 provides three vacuum pressure levels: -35KPa, -40KPa, and -45KPa. Choose the level according to the vehicle condition and cooling system status. For older vehicles or aging components, use a lower pressure level.
In Testing Mode, the green light means no leakage is detected, while the red light means leakage is detected. The machine enters pressure-holding detection and then provides the indication automatically.
After the correct pressure level is selected and the Start/Stop button is pressed, the machine starts vacuuming. Once vacuuming is complete, it enters a 60-second pressure-holding mode and then gives an automatic leak detection result.
If the selected vacuum level cannot be achieved and maintained in Testing Mode, SC301 switches to pressure-holding mode within two minutes and displays a fault reminder. Check the cooling system connection, adapter sealing, hoses, and possible leak points before testing again.
In Filling Mode, choose the suitable gear, press Start/Pause, and the machine begins vacuuming the cooling system. After vacuuming is complete, coolant is automatically filled into the system. If filling is not complete, multiple filling cycles can be performed.
If no coolant enters the system within two minutes during Filling Mode, SC301 displays a fault reminder. Check whether the coolant inlet hose is placed correctly in the coolant container, whether the adapter is sealed, whether the drain valve is in the correct position, and whether the air compressor is connected properly.
The package image shows three adapter fittings. The adapter image marks them around 33mm, 41mm, and 52mm. These fittings are suitable for many common vehicle coolant reservoir openings, but fitment should be confirmed for special vehicles.
No. Coolant is not included. Use coolant that matches the vehicle and avoid mixing coolants with different performance specifications.
The package image shows the SC301 main unit, retail box, DC 12V battery clamp power cable, three adapter fittings, hoses shown with the unit, and user manual. Coolant and the external air compressor are not included.
Check tightened and connected parts regularly. Treat parts that contact chemical media with anti-corrosion care when needed. Do not overload the equipment, check aging wires in time, avoid contact with corrosive liquids, and store the product in a dry place when not in use.
From the date of receipt, AUTOOL provides a 3-year warranty for the main unit and a 1-year warranty for included accessories under eligible conditions. If support is needed, prepare pictures or videos to help confirm the issue.
