The AUTOOL SDT60 Automotive Smoke Leak Detector is a compact 12V smoke leak detector with a built-in air pump, pressure gauge, and lightweight portable body. It helps diagnose leaks in automotive intake, exhaust, EVAP, fuel tank, pipe fitting, sealing, crankcase, coolant tank, throttle valve, intake manifold, and other suitable low-pressure systems without requiring an external air source.

Before You Order And Use

Review the 12V power requirement, oil amount, airflow valve, continuous-use limit, temperature protection, and hot-surface reminder before each test.

12V Battery Required

The SDT60 must be connected to a DC 12V battery during use. Confirm correct power connection before starting the smoke test.

Use Liquid Paraffin Or Baby Oil

Liquid paraffin and baby oil are both suitable testing liquids. Add 10-15ml before use, and do not exceed this range.

Refill Correctly

When refilling, pour out the remaining oil first and add about 10ml fresh testing oil. Replace detector oil regularly.

Open Airflow Regulator Gently

Before use, gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve and allow the machine to output smoke properly.

Avoid Continuous Overuse

Do not run the detector continuously for more than 8 minutes. Let the unit rest between tests to protect the machine.

75°C Protection And Hot Surface

If the temperature exceeds 75°C, the intelligent protector automatically turns off power. The round metal section may become hot, so avoid direct contact.

How To Use

Use the SDT60 with suitable test oil and a DC 12V battery. Avoid smoke-sensitive parts during leak detection and allow the unit to rest between long tests.

Add Test Oil

Fill 10-15ml baby oil or liquid paraffin into the detector. Do not overfill. Open the engine cover and hang the detector if needed.

Connect The Test Pipe

Disconnect the pipe that needs to be tested and connect it to the detector smoke output hose.

Power On

Connect the detector to a DC 12V battery, turn on the power switch, and let the detector start working.

Check Leaks

The pipe fills with smoke within about 30 seconds. Check leak points visually and use a headlamp if necessary.
