How To Choose

How To Choose

Start with the cleaning area first, then check HEPA filtration, pressure control, air compressor setup, walnut shell media size, and adapter coverage before choosing your model.

Need Standard Intake And Valve Cleaning?

Choose HTS558, HTS559, or HTS518 for intake manifold, intake port, and intake / exhaust valve carbon cleaning. These models are suitable for common walnut blasting workflows and do not support combustion chamber cleaning.

Need HEPA And Pressure Control?

Choose HTS678 if you need HEPA filtration, a pressure gauge, pressure adjustment, a storage box, 23 connector types, and standard / expert mode selection for workshop use.

Need Combustion Chamber Cleaning?

Choose HTS728. It is the expert-grade model in this series and the only model listed here that supports engine combustion chamber carbon cleaning.

Need The Right Walnut Media?

HTS558, HTS559, HTS518, and HTS678 use 0.6-1.2mm walnut shell abrasive. HTS728 uses finer 0.4-0.6mm walnut shell abrasive for more precise cleaning.

Need A Stable Air Source?

All models require an external air compressor. Use a suitable compressor according to the model manual; many setups use around 0.6-0.7MPa / 6-7bar. A dryer filter is recommended to reduce moisture and media clumping.

Need More Adapters Or Storage?

HTS518 and HTS678 include 23 connector types and a storage box. HTS558, HTS559, and HTS728 list 5 connector types, so confirm adapter needs before ordering.

How It Works

How It Works

AUTOOL walnut shell blasters use compressed air to move walnut shell abrasive into the target cleaning area. The particles impact carbon deposits, while the connector and suction pipe recover loosened carbon and used walnut media into the storage tank. Combustion chamber cleaning applies to HTS728 only.

Compressed Air Blasting

An external air compressor drives walnut shell media at high speed through the blasting nozzle into the intake port, valve area, or supported target area.

Carbon Deposit Impact

Walnut particles tumble and impact carbon deposits, helping remove buildup without relying on chemical cleaning and while reducing the risk of damaging sensitive engine surfaces.

Simultaneous Recovery

The connector and suction pipe recover walnut shell abrasive and loosened carbon deposits into the machine, supporting cleaner operation and media reuse.

Key Features

Key Features

The HTS series focuses on professional carbon cleaning, adapter compatibility, external air source blasting, media recovery, workshop mobility, and model-based upgrades such as HEPA filtration, pressure adjustment, and combustion chamber support.

Intake And Valve Carbon Cleaning

Helps remove stubborn carbon deposits from intake manifolds, intake ports, intake valves, and exhaust valves according to the proper port-by-port cleaning sequence.

HTS728 Combustion Chamber Support

HTS728 supports combustion chamber carbon cleaning. This function is not supported by HTS558, HTS559, HTS518, or HTS678.

Multiple Intake Adapters

Different models include different connector quantities. HTS518 and HTS678 list 23 connector types, while HTS558, HTS559, and HTS728 list 5 connector types.

External Air Source Power

The series uses an external air compressor to provide the blasting air source for consistent walnut shell abrasive impact during carbon cleaning.

Dust Filter And Media Recovery

Built-in dust filtering and recovery help separate walnut shell abrasive from carbon deposits, allowing suitable media to be recycled and reused.

Workshop Mobility And Support

The HTS models include 360° swivel casters for workshop movement and are backed by 3-year warranty support for eligible non-human damage cases.

Product Details

Product Details

Walnut blasting performance depends on the correct media size, enough media loading, dry compressed air, and clean recovery. Use the correct media for each model and avoid moisture buildup.

Walnut Media Size

HTS558, HTS559, HTS518, and HTS678 use 0.6-1.2mm walnut shell abrasive. HTS728 uses 0.4-0.6mm walnut shell abrasive.

Media Loading

The walnut blaster requires about 2-3kg of walnut shell media to start operation. Do not run the cleaning process without enough media in the machine.

Media Reuse

Walnut media can usually be recycled and reused approximately 5-10 times depending on contamination, breakage, and recovery condition.

Dry Air Recommended

Use a dryer filter with the air compressor to reduce moisture buildup, walnut media clumping, nozzle blockage, and poor blasting performance.

Before You Order And Use

Before You Order And Use

Walnut blasting is effective for carbon cleaning, but valve position, port-by-port operation, compressed air quality, and application boundaries must be handled correctly before restarting the engine.

Close Intake Valves Before Cleaning

High-precision engine systems are sensitive to foreign particles in the intake manifold, including BMW Valvetronic systems. Turn off the engine and rotate the crankshaft to close the intake valves before cleaning each port.

Clean One Intake Port At A Time

The walnut sandblaster cleans one intake port at a time. For example, a six-cylinder engine requires each of the six intake ports to be cleaned individually.

External Air Compressor Required

The package does not include an air compressor. Use a suitable external compressor and add a dryer filter to reduce moisture, clumping, and unstable blasting.

Do Not Use For Car Chassis

Walnut sand blasting machines are not suitable for cleaning car chassis. Use a dry ice cleaning machine for chassis cleaning instead.

Additional Notes

  • Small residual walnut shell particles may turn to ash under high engine temperature after startup, but proper recovery and final inspection are still recommended before restarting the engine.
  • Use the correct walnut shell abrasive size for your model. Do not use HTS728 fine media assumptions for the whole HTS series.
  • Press the spray button intermittently during normal use for stronger cleaning power and better blasting results.
  • If walnut abrasive clumps or nozzle output becomes weak, check air moisture, dryer filter condition, media loading, and nozzle blockage first.
  • Combustion chamber cleaning is only supported by HTS728. Do not describe this as a full-series function.
