From Setup to Final Vehicle Check
Step-by-Step Workflow
HTS559 works with 0.6–1.2 mm walnut abrasive, external compressed air, and vacuum recovery. The sequence below covers media setup, valve-position confirmation, anti-clog airflow, port-by-port cleaning, residual-media recovery, reassembly, leak checks, diagnostic scanning, and a final vehicle check.
Step 1
Connect Hoses And Nozzle
Secure all hose and nozzle connections before media is loaded so the blasting and recovery path is ready.
- Connect the recovery hose securely.
- Connect the blasting gun, nozzle, and related fittings.
Step 2
Select And Seal The Adapter
A correctly matched, sealed adapter helps keep blasting and recovery focused on the target intake port.

Step 3
Position The Nozzle In The Recovery Path
Position the nozzle inside the suction path so blasting and vacuum recovery work together.

Load Walnut Abrasive
Load the model-specific amount of compatible abrasive before starting, and follow the HTS559 loading procedure supplied with the machine.

Prepare The Engine
Prepare the target intake port before blasting by confirming valve position and isolating the other openings.

- Isolate the other intake openings as required by the vehicle service procedure.
Step 7
Clean Carbon Deposits Port By Port
Clean one intake port at a time, inspecting between ports so blasting duration follows the observed carbon buildup.
- Blast one intake port at a time.
- Allow approximately 1–3 minutes per intake port, depending on carbon buildup.
- Inspect the port before moving to the next one.

Recover, Inspect And Purge
Finish each cleaned port by recovering loose abrasive, using an air-only purge only when the HTS559 procedure supports it, and confirming that no visible media remains.
- Stop the media flow and vacuum out remaining abrasive.

Step 9
Reassemble And Check The Vehicle

Also confirm sufficient continuous airflow and that the air tank, hose, quick-connect fittings, and duty cycle suit the blasting workflow.
Use Dry Compatible Media
Use compatible 0.6–1.2 mm walnut-shell abrasive and dry, filtered air. Walnut abrasive is not included. Moisture may cause clumping or feed instability.
