How To Use

Use the SDT50 with a DC 12V battery, liquid paraffin or baby oil, and the included smoke hose. Before use, gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve.

Add Test Oil

Fill 10-15ml baby oil or liquid paraffin into the detector before first use. Do not exceed this range.

Connect The Test Pipe

Open the engine cover, hang the detector if needed, and disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected to the detector.

Power On

Connect the detector to a DC 12V battery, gently open the airflow regulator valve, then turn on the power switch.

Locate Leaks

In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points visually and use a headlamp if necessary.

Use Notes

Liquid paraffin and baby oil are both acceptable testing liquids.
Add fresh oil only when the smoke becomes thin.
Do not add more than 15ml oil each time.
Before filling fresh oil, pour out the remaining oil in the detector and replace detector oil regularly.
During leak detection, keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.
Do not run the detector continuously for more than 8 minutes.
If the machine shuts off due to 75°C protection, let it rest before reuse.
The round metal part may become hot; avoid burns.

Before You Order And Use

SDT50 requires a 12V battery and proper test oil control. Review these operating notes before using the smoke detector.

Power And Oil

SDT50 must be connected to a 12V battery.
Fill 10-15ml oil before first use. Do not exceed this range.
Liquid paraffin and baby oil are both acceptable testing liquids.
Fresh oil can be added only when smoke becomes thin.
Do not add more than 15ml oil each time.
Before filling fresh oil, pour out the remaining oil in the detector and replace detector oil regularly.
