Add 10–15 mL of Testing Oil

Use liquid paraffin or baby oil as testing oil. Add 10–15 mL before first use and do not exceed 15 mL at one time.

Do not run SDT50 continuously for more than 8 minutes. If the internal temperature exceeds 75°C, the unit shuts off automatically. Let it cool before restarting.

Does SDT50 Need an External Air Pump?

序號 AUTOOL SDT50 has a built-in air pump, so it does not require a separate air supply or extra air pump for normal smoke leak detection.

Liquid paraffin and baby oil are both acceptable testing oils for SDT50. Replace the testing oil regularly, and drain remaining old oil before adding fresh oil.

How Much Oil Should I Add?

Fill 10–15 mL oil before first use. Do not exceed this range. Fresh oil can be added only when smoke becomes thin, and do not add more than 15 mL each time.

SDT50 must be connected to a 12V DC battery and is designed for 12V DC vehicle leak checks.

Yes. The round metal housing can become hot during operation. Avoid direct contact to prevent burns.

Should I Avoid Any Parts During Leak Detection?

Yes. Do not introduce smoke into any component or system that the vehicle or component service procedure excludes from smoke testing.

How Does SDT50 Differ from Other AUTOOL Smoke Leak Detectors?

SDT50: Built-in pump, Smoke Mode, <10 psi, <5 L/min, 50 W, 1.5 kg.
Add pressure monitoring: SDT60.
External-air EVAP: SDT101/103.
Separate Air + Smoke modes: SDT205/205S/206/208; SDT208 also provides 35 psi Standard and 10 psi EVAP.

Good smoke effect
Very good quality, better than other brands I have used before. This smoke leak detector has a built-in air pump. It is small and easy to carry. I can use it easily. The smoke effect is good. A lot of smoke is produced in 20 seconds. I use baby oil.
