Product Overview

The AUTOOL SDT205 is a 12V automotive smoke leak detector with a built-in air pump, independent Air Mode and Smoke Mode, and a visual pressure gauge for low-pressure pipe leak checks. It helps locate leaks in intake, exhaust, vehicle sealing, fuel tank, pipe fittings, EVAP, vacuum, and other suitable low-pressure automotive systems.

Antes de pedir y usar

Review the 12V power requirement, test oil rule, operating time limit, overheat protection, and A/C system limitation before using the SDT205 smoke leak detector.

Requiere batería de 12V

SDT205 must be connected to a DC 12V battery for operation. It is intended for 12V DC automotive testing environments.

Aceite de prueba no incluido

Due to logistics restrictions, testing oil is not included. Use liquid paraffin or baby oil as the testing liquid.

Añadir solo 10-15ml

Fill 10-15ml testing oil before use. Do not exceed this range, because overfilling leaves less space for smoke generation.

Add fresh oil only when the smoke becomes thin. Do not add more than 15ml each time, and drain remaining old oil before refilling.

Do not run the smoke leak detector continuously for more than 8 minutes. Allow interval rest between tests.

Protección a 75°C

The intelligent protection system automatically shuts off power if the unit exceeds 75°C. Let it cool before restarting.

Safety And Test Boundary Reminder

  • The round metal section can become hot during operation. Avoid direct contact to prevent burns.
  • Do not refill test oil while the smoke detector is running.
  • Keep smoke away from smoke-sensitive parts during leak detection.
  • SDT205 cannot directly pressure-test an automotive A/C high-pressure system. It may only be used for segment-assisted pipeline checks under proper conditions.

How To Use

How To Use

Use SDT205 with a DC 12V battery and 10-15ml liquid paraffin or baby oil. The pipe can be filled with smoke in about 30 seconds, allowing visual leak detection.

Añadir aceite de prueba

Fill 10-15ml baby oil or liquid paraffin into the detector before use. Do not overfill.

Conecte el tubo de prueba

Open the engine cover, hang the detector if needed, then disconnect the pipe that needs testing and connect it to the detector.

Conectar alimentación 12V

Connect the detector to a DC 12V battery, turn on the power switch, then use Air Mode or Smoke Mode according to the test need.

Localizar fugas

In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check leak points visually and use a headlamp if necessary.
