The 3.95 mm probe and 1 m flexible hose provide a defined access size and reach. Check the complete tip and turning space against the actual entry path.
Four-way Articulation
Guide the probe using four-way control. The 720° product designation does not mean continuous rotation or guaranteed coverage of every surface.

Define The Inspection Target
Identify the vehicle, symptom, entry point and surface you need to see. Confirm that the V85 probe and viewing range suit that path.

Check The Equipment
Inspect the tip and cable, charge the device, check steering and lighting, and verify that photos or video can be saved.

Prepare The Vehicle
Follow the vehicle service procedure to isolate moving and live parts, cool the inspection area and prepare a clean access point.

Guide And Illuminate
Insert gently while watching the live image. Use the steering control and lighting to bring the target into the specified clear viewing range; never force a bend.

Capture the target from useful angles and identify the component, entry point and viewing direction. Keep uncertain observations separate from confirmed conclusions.

Withdraw And Store
Return the tip as instructed, withdraw gently and check that the probe is intact. Clean, dry and store it according to the model manual, then review the files with the vehicle diagnostic evidence.

Match The Access Path
Guide the probe through the confirmed access path, leaving enough clearance for articulation and withdrawal.
Inspect A Cooled, Isolated Vehicle
Prevent unintended engine movement and electrical operation. Wait for components to cool to the limits in the V85 manual before inserting the probe; a heat alarm is a protection event, not a working-temperature rating.
Protect The Probe And Main Unit
IP67 applies to the specified probe, not the screen or handle. Confirm permitted liquids and contact conditions separately; do not infer oil, fuel or solvent compatibility from the IP rating.
Withdraw Without Force
Use the steering control to return the tip to a position that can clear the entry path. Stop if resistance is felt; follow the model manual and vehicle procedure rather than pulling harder.

Charge At The Specified Voltage
Use DC 5 V / 1 A charging. Do not use a fast-charge mode, and follow the manual for cable and battery handling.

Fine-Probe Fit and Image Questions
Does V85 need a phone or app?
No. The integrated 4.3-inch screen provides live viewing, recording playback and device controls.
Will the probe fit every engine opening?
The probe diameter is 3.95 mm; confirm the tip geometry, entry path, turning space, and target distance for the inspection point.
What does the articulation specification mean?
Four-way describes the available steering directions. The 720° product name does not mean the tip continuously rotates through two complete turns or sees every surface.
Can I inspect a hot engine?
Cool and isolate the vehicle according to the applicable procedure. The 85°C shutdown is a protective threshold, not a continuous operating-temperature rating.
Is the entire device waterproof or oil-proof?
No. IP67 is a probe rating. Keep the main unit dry and confirm permitted liquids and contact conditions in the manual.
Does 8× zoom reveal more optical detail?
Digital zoom enlarges the captured image. It cannot restore an out-of-focus image or add information that the camera did not capture.
How do I keep inspection evidence?
Save the original JPG photo or AVI recording on compatible TF storage and export it for review. Record the vehicle or work order, component, entry point, viewing direction and any limits.
What should I do if the probe resists withdrawal?
Stop pulling. Return the tip using the control as instructed and follow the model and vehicle procedures. Do not restart the engine with the probe inserted.
Can the image diagnose the root cause by itself?
Use the saved image to document the inspected location, compare visible conditions with service information, and plan the next check.
What should I confirm with the order?
