Identify, Heat, Clean, Mount, Test, and Compare
Identify, Inspect, and Record a Baseline
Confirm the injector part number, 12 V scope, adapters, seals, and allowed cleaning method. Label the four positions and record pressure, pulse setting, mode, test time, test fluid, and initial results.
Clean the Injector Exterior
Remove loose exterior dirt with an approved cleaner before loading the ultrasonic tank.
Add Fluid and Run Heated Ultrasonic Cleaning
Add the manual-approved cleaning fluid, keep it below the electrical pulse connector, connect the pulse lead, and use heating up to 45 °C only when the product procedure and injector materials allow it. Never dry-run the tank.
Install Injectors for Testing
Secure the compatible injectors, seal unused positions, check resistance, shorts, and current draw when required, and add approved non-corrosive test fluid to the testing circuit.
Run Leakage, Spray, and Flow Tests
Use the selected modes to observe closed-state leakage, spray appearance, collected-volume balance, and behavior under simulated low-pressure operating conditions.
Repeat, Decide, and Drain
Repeat the same settings after cleaning, record improvement or no improvement, then recover the cleaning and test fluids through their respective drains and follow the correct next diagnostic path.
Sicurezza e compatibilità
Match Injector, Temperature, Drive, Fluid, and Adapter
Standard 12 V Gasoline Test Scope
Testing is for compatible standard 12 V gasoline injectors. Confirm part number, impedance/current requirements, connector, seals, and adapters rather than relying on a vehicle or brand label.
Choose the Correct Injector Test Method
CT160 tests compatible standard gasoline injectors. Diesel injectors may be ultrasonically cleaned with the approved liquid, temperature, immersion method, and depth; GDI and diesel testing require dedicated equipment.
Separate the Two Fluid Circuits
Use approved cleaning fluid in the ultrasonic tank and approved non-corrosive test fluid in the test circuit. Do not mix them or test with corrosive cleaning liquid.
Control Heat and Liquid Level
Do not run ultrasonic cleaning or heating without the correct liquid. Keep the liquid below electrical pulse connectors and confirm that 45 °C is allowed for the specific injector or spark plug.
Plug Unused Positions
For a single injector, seal the other three positions with approved plugs and check the rail and adapters for leaks before pressurizing.
Confirm Optional Applications
Motorcycle injector work and cleaning without removal require the correct optional adapters and a separate approved procedure. Spark-plug cleaning should be verified against the current manual and material compatibility.
Confirm Regional Power
Select the correct 110 V or 220 V input and plug version before ordering. Stop after a fuse event or any leak, damaged cable, abnormal heat, or pressure instability.
Manage Liquids and Waste
Keep liquids away from ignition sources, provide suitable ventilation, monitor operation, and follow the product instructions, liquid SDS, and local disposal rules.
Risultati del test
Read Spray, Leakage, and Volume Side by Side
Drips While Closed
Possible causes include contamination, valve-seat wear, or a sealing fault. Verify the fixture and pressure, clean and retest, then refer or replace if leakage remains.
One Tube Fills Much Less
Restriction, a fixture leak, a channel issue, or an injector fault may be responsible. Check seals and pressure, swap channels where allowed, and repeat before concluding.
Deflected, Split, Coarse, or Dripping Spray
Deposits or nozzle/internal damage may be involved. Repeat after cleaning under matched conditions and use specialist service if unchanged.
Differences Shrink After Heated Cleaning
A recoverable restriction may have been reduced, but heating alone proves nothing. Record the conditions, renew applicable seals, and verify on the vehicle.
No Measurable Improvement
The injector may already be clean or may have electrical or mechanical damage. Stop repeated cleaning and continue diagnosis, specialist testing, or replacement.
Next Checks if the Symptom Remains
If the low-pressure comparison is balanced but the symptom remains, continue with ignition, compression, intake-leak, fuel-supply, wiring, and control-signal checks.
Compare Results Under Matched Conditions
Compare injectors under the same recorded CT160 conditions. Use injector-specific limits or dedicated equipment when OEM calibration or high-pressure GDI data is required.

DOMANDE FREQUENTI
Heating, Injector Fit, and Test Questions
What Is The Difference Between CT150, CT160, And CT200?
CT150 and CT160 are both designed for cleaning and testing fuel injectors of 4-cylinder gasoline engines. The main difference is that CT160 adds an ultrasonic heating function, while CT150 does not have this feature. Compared with CT150, CT200 adds two additional test positions for up to six injectors at once, while the other basic functions remain similar.
- Both are four-position standard 12 V gasoline injector benches, but CT160 adds a 2000 mL tank that heats cleaning fluid to 45 °C. CT150 does not heat the cleaning fluid.
How is CT160 different from CT200?
CT160 prioritizes four-position heated cleaning; CT200 provides six positions without heating. Choose by injector type, batch size, heating need, adapters, and workflow.
Can CT160 Clean And Test Diesel Injectors?
CT160 tests compatible gasoline injectors and can ultrasonically clean diesel injectors under an approved procedure. Diesel injector testing requires dedicated equipment.
- Testing supports compatible standard 12 V gasoline injectors. Diesel injectors may be ultrasonically cleaned under an approved procedure; high-pressure GDI and diesel performance testing require dedicated equipment.
Does 45 °C heating prove better cleaning?
No. Heating is a controlled process option. The useful evidence is a matched before-and-after test, and some materials or deposits may require a different method.
Can CT160 test one injector?
Yes, if compatible, while the other three positions are sealed with approved plugs and the setup passes a leak check.
What Cleaning Fluid Should I Use?
For ultrasonic cleaning, use professional engine carbon cleaning fluid or professional injector ultrasonic cleaning fluid. 75%+ medical alcohol can be used as an alternative if professional cleaning fluid is not available, but the cleaning effect may not be as strong.
- Use manual-approved ultrasonic cleaning fluid in the tank and approved non-corrosive injector test fluid in the testing circuit. Do not mix the circuits or use cleaning liquid as test fluid.
Can it clean spark plugs?
The ultrasonic tank can clean compatible spark plugs. Confirm the manual procedure, allowable liquid, temperature, and material compatibility before use.
Can it service motorcycle injectors or clean without removal?
Only with the correct compatible optional adapters and procedure. Confirm the injector part number and exact kit before ordering.
How should I interpret a low measuring tube?
First check rail pressure, seals, installation, and channel behavior. Repeat under the same conditions before deciding the injector itself is restricted.
Che cosa è incluso?
The package includes the main unit, box, manual, fluid-handling parts, adapters/plugs, test cables, pulse cable, and pressure/fuel-rail assembly. Confirm quantities and option-specific items before purchase.
Quale garanzia è inclusa?
Unità principale: 3 anni di garanzia. Accessori standard: 1 anno di garanzia. Politica di garanzia.
What Injectors Can CT160 Clean And Test?
CT160 is designed for cleaning and testing standard 12V gasoline fuel injectors. It supports up to 4 compatible injectors at the same time and can be used for cars and compatible motorcycles when the proper adapters and accessories are used.
Can CT160 Test GDI High-Pressure Injectors?
No. CT160 is not recommended for GDI high-pressure injector testing. If you need GDI, EFI, FSI, or broader high-pressure injector compatibility, choose CT400, CT450, CT500, FN606, or FN608 according to the required injector type and testing capacity.
Can I Use Cleaning Fluid To Test Injectors?
No. Do not use cleaning fluid to test injectors. Cleaning fluid may corrode internal components and rubber seals, cause leaks, and result in repair costs not treated as a normal machine failure.
How Do I Test A Single Injector With CT160?
When testing a single injector, plug the other 3 unused test positions. CT160 includes 3 plugs for this setup so the unused cylinders can be blocked during testing.
How Do I Set The Test Parameters?
For basic testing, you do not need complex parameter setup. Select the function number and set the test time according to the test you need. The control panel provides function selection, working parameter display and adjustment, pressure adjustment, and Start / Pause / Stop operation.
What Is The Difference Between CT400, CT450, And CT500?
CT450 adds a Pulse Injection Test compared with CT400. CT500 further adds Wide Pulse Injection Test and Continuous Injection Test compared with CT450. For cleaning and heating, CT450 features ultrasonic cleaning with heating up to 50°C, while CT400 and CT500 do not have the same heating function in this comparison.
What Is The Difference Between FN608 And FN606?
FN608 supports testing for 8 cylinders, while FN606 supports testing for 6 cylinders. FN608 also uses two independent fuel pumps, each corresponding to a separate left or right fuel rail. If one pump fails, only the corresponding rail is affected, while the other can continue working. FN606 uses a single fuel pump, so a pump failure stops the whole system until the pump is replaced.
What Is The Difference Between FN608 And CT500?
- Positions: FN608 tests 8 injectors; CT500 tests 6.
- Heating/tank: FN608 heats to 50°C and its tank works separately or with the main unit; CT500 has an integrated tank with no stated heating.
- Drive: FN608 supports 12 V / 12–70 V / 120–180 V; CT500 supports 12 V / 70 V / 120 V.
- Pumps: FN608 uses two independent pumps; CT500 uses one.
