For customers who had been thinking about buying an electric vehicle, especially a Tesla Model Y, Tesla’s year-end 2024 promotion was designed to make the decision more attractive. Buyers could experience Tesla’s electric driving technology and use the Supercharger network across Europe for free for one year. The key condition was timing. Customers needed to order and receive a new Model Y before December 31, 2024. Only new Model Y orders were eligible for the offer, so the benefit was tied directly to year-end delivery.

The offer was simple: order and receive a new Tesla Model Y by the end of 2024, then receive one year of free charging at Tesla Supercharger stations. The customer also had to remain the first owner of the vehicle. If the car was sold or traded, the free charging benefit would not transfer to the next owner. That rule encouraged longer ownership and helped prevent short-term resale behavior that could distort the market.

The promotion also appeared before Tesla was expected to launch a facelifted Model Y in early 2025, making the current version more attractive for buyers who wanted to purchase before the refresh.

The delivery activity around the Cybertruck electric pickup also helped Tesla maintain attention in North America. Although U.S. buyers did not receive the same one-year free Supercharging offer described for Europe, Tesla’s pricing and inventory promotions still made year-end purchasing more attractive for some customers.
