AUTOOL BT160, BT260, and BT280 are three circuit tester products for automotive electrical system diagnostics. Each one is designed to help technicians reduce diagnostic time, check circuit status, and work through common electrical testing tasks more efficiently.

This comparison keeps the original product information and organizes it by model, so you can review the working range, core test modes, protection features, language support, and service policy before choosing the tester that best fits your workshop or vehicle service needs.

Tester 01

Basic circuit diagnostics

AUTOOL BT160 Car Circuit Tester

AUTOOL BT160 Car Circuit Tester is the best electrical tester to reduce the diagnostic time in automotive electrical systems. After a simple connection of the unit to the vehicle’s battery, the automotive technician can conduct a positive or negative battery current to the tip by turning the switch forward or backward.

The unit includes short circuit protection, can check bad ground contact instantly, and can also help track and locate short circuits.

AUTOOL BT160 Car Circuit Tester features

  1. Polarity testWhen the polarity of the circuit under test is unknown, the positive and negative poles of the circuit can be tested. Red light indicates positive pole, the green light indicates negative pole.
  2. Open circuit testWith the polarity of the circuit under test unknown, it can be tested to see if the circuit is in a continuous state or an open-circuit state. The green light is on means the circuit is in a continuous state; the green light is off, it means the circuit is open.
  3. Diode testQuickly test the working status of the diode assembly and determine whether the circuit is open or continuous.
  4. Grounding testIt can detect whether the component has a large current flow and test whether the negative grounding of the component is good. The green light is on with a beep, indicating that the grounding is good; the green light is on without beep, which indicates poor grounding.
  5. Overload protectionIn case of overload or load of current, the machine will automatically open circuit protection and alarm beep to reduce unnecessary losses.
  6. DC voltage testThe test range is 6~24V DC voltage.
Tester 02

Expanded vehicle coverage

AUTOOL BT260 Electric Circuit Tester

AUTOOL BT260 electric circuit tester is suitable for diagnosis in 6V to 30V vehicle electrical systems. With a simple hook-up to the vehicle battery, it can support AC voltage detection, DC voltage detection, resistance detection, diode test, and current overload protection.

At present, the Russian warehouse is the old version BT260, without a diode function. If you mind, please choose to ship from China.

Product version note

AUTOOL BT260 Car Electric Circuit Tester features

  1. AC & DC voltage detection modeAC detection checks the maximum and minimum voltage, supply frequency, and duty cycle of the circuit under test. DC voltage detection checks the voltage value of the circuit under test.
  2. Resistance test & diode test modeResistance detection checks the resistance between the circuit probe under test and the auxiliary ground. Diode Test can quickly test the operation of the diode assembly and determine if it is conducting.
  3. Ultra extension inspection cable 10mThe 10m cable covers from the front to the rear of the vehicle, making it easier to inspect the entire electrical circuit system.
  4. Current overload protectionWhen the current overloads, AUTOOL BT260 Automotive Circuit Tester will automatically disconnect the protection circuit to reduce unnecessary losses.
  5. Multi-language optionsChoose from 7 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Portuguese.
  6. 3-year warrantyFor damages caused by non-human factors, AUTOOL promises to resend parts for free within three years. You are welcome to contact us for any needs, and we will get back to you ASAP within 24 hours.

Intelligent system testing

AUTOOL BT280 Electric System Tester

The AUTOOL BT280 Electric System Tester is the newest generation intelligent electrical system circuit tester with a 2.4-inch large-size LCD screen display. It is dedicated to testing all 9V-30V vehicle electrical systems. BT280 is convenient, fast, and intelligent.

AUTOOL BT280 Car Electric Circuit Tester features

  1. Multimeter mode & smart testAUTOOL BT280 Electric System Tester is covered with comprehensive parameters of Multimeter. It can quickly test and automatically identified the Voltage, resistance, Positive and Negative poles of the tested component, which brings the user a lot of conveniences.
  2. Oscilloscope mode & relay testAUTOOL BT280 can display the parameter curve diagram of the tested component, such as voltage, frequency, and time. It can also test standard automotive relays, including 5-terminal relays and 4-terminal relays.
  3. Component activation & injector modeIt can generate active signals for components, such as lights, motors, and other onboard electronic devices. Different pulse signals can also be output to the injector, with four pulse modes to detect injector condition better.
  4. 0-5V power supply & voltage alarmThe tester can set 0-5V output voltage, used to verify the wiring condition of the tested component. It also includes voltage-setting alarms. If a short circuit or fault causes the voltage to be greater than or less than the set value, the device will alarm.
  5. Multi-language feature14 languages supported, English, Spanish, German, Russian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, French, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Filipino, Indonesian, Arabic.
  6. Three years warranty, lifetime maintenanceFor damage caused by non-human factors, AUTOOL promises to resend parts for free within three years. You are warmly welcome to contact us for any needs, and we will get back to you ASAP within 24 hours.
Comparison

Choose by diagnostic depth
