Load Compatible Media
Add the manual-specified amount of dry 0.6–1.2 mm walnut-shell blasting media, generally about 2–4 kg.

Connect Gun and Recovery Hose
Secure the walnut blasting gun and keep its nozzle within the recovery path.

Access the target port, close the target intake valve and isolate other openings under the vehicle procedure.

Connect Dry External Air and Power
Use a suitable dry, filtered compressor and the correct grounded power version; the compressor is not included.

External Compressor and Air Supply
HTS518 requires an external high-pressure air compressor, which is not included. Use stable, dry, filtered air at up to 0.7 MPa; 6 bar or more is generally recommended for operation. Also confirm sufficient continuous airflow and suitable tank, hose, quick-connect fittings, and pressure settings for the workshop setup.
Valve Closure and Isolation
Never blast a port until its intake valve is fully closed and unintended openings are isolated.
Adapter Fit
The 23 adapters are not universal; confirm the engine, port geometry and seal.
Compatible Media and PPE
Use compatible dry 0.6–1.2 mm walnut-shell abrasive and add about 2–4 kg. Walnut abrasive is not included. Use suitable eye and respiratory protection, good ventilation, and the media supplier Safety Data Sheet; walnut-shell dust may present allergen concerns.
Residual-Media Check
Do not rely on the engine to consume residual media; recover and inspect before startup.
Intake Cleaning Scope
HTS518 is designed for carbon cleaning in the intake pipe and on the backs of intake valves. It is not designed for fuel injectors, throttle valves, cylinders, or combustion chambers.
