Remove loose exterior dirt with an approved cleaner before loading the ultrasonic tank.

Add Fluid and Run Heated Ultrasonic Cleaning
Add the manual-approved cleaning fluid, keep it below the electrical pulse connector, connect the pulse lead, and use heating up to 45 °C only when the product procedure and injector materials allow it. Never dry-run the tank.

Install Injectors for Testing
Secure the compatible injectors, seal unused positions, check resistance, shorts, and current draw when required, and add approved non-corrosive test fluid to the testing circuit.

Standard 12 V Gasoline Test Scope
Testing is for compatible standard 12 V gasoline injectors. Confirm part number, impedance/current requirements, connector, seals, and adapters rather than relying on a vehicle or brand label.
Choose the Correct Injector Test Method
CT160 tests compatible standard gasoline injectors. Diesel injectors may be ultrasonically cleaned with the approved liquid, temperature, immersion method, and depth; GDI and diesel testing require dedicated equipment.
Separate the Two Fluid Circuits
Use approved cleaning fluid in the ultrasonic tank and approved non-corrosive test fluid in the test circuit. Do not mix them or test with corrosive cleaning liquid.
Control Heat and Liquid Level
Do not run ultrasonic cleaning or heating without the correct liquid. Keep the liquid below electrical pulse connectors and confirm that 45 °C is allowed for the specific injector or spark plug.
Plug Unused Positions
For a single injector, seal the other three positions with approved plugs and check the rail and adapters for leaks before pressurizing.
Confirm Optional Applications
Motorcycle injector work and cleaning without removal require the correct optional adapters and a separate approved procedure. Spark-plug cleaning should be verified against the current manual and material compatibility.

Drips While Closed
Possible causes include contamination, valve-seat wear, or a sealing fault. Verify the fixture and pressure, clean and retest, then refer or replace if leakage remains.
One Tube Fills Much Less
Restriction, a fixture leak, a channel issue, or an injector fault may be responsible. Check seals and pressure, swap channels where allowed, and repeat before concluding.
Deflected, Split, Coarse, or Dripping Spray

Compared with CT150, CT200 adds two additional test positions for up to six injectors at once, while the other basic functions remain similar.

What Injectors Can CT160 Clean And Test?
CT160 is designed for cleaning and testing standard 12V gasoline fuel injectors. It supports up to 4 compatible injectors at the same time and can be used for cars and compatible motorcycles when the proper adapters and accessories are used.
Can CT160 Test GDI High-Pressure Injectors?
No. CT160 is not recommended for GDI high-pressure injector testing. If you need GDI, EFI, FSI, or broader high-pressure injector compatibility, choose CT400, CT450, CT500, FN606, or FN608 according to the required injector type and testing capacity.
Can I Use Cleaning Fluid To Test Injectors?

What Is The Difference Between FN608 And FN606?
FN608 supports testing for 8 cylinders, while FN606 supports testing for 6 cylinders. FN608 also uses two independent fuel pumps, each corresponding to a separate left or right fuel rail. If one pump fails, only the corresponding rail is affected, while the other can continue working. FN606 uses a single fuel pump, so a pump failure stops the whole system until the pump is replaced.
What Is The Difference Between FN608 And CT500?
- Positions: FN608 tests 8 injectors; CT500 tests 6.

This fuel injector tester (Autool 160) is a blast to use. I was able to find the one injector on my 5.7 hemi hanging open and fouling the plugs. Very useful for testing and cleaning.
