Test for Leaks, Then Vacuum-Fill Coolant
AUTOOL SC301 combines a vacuum-hold check and vacuum-assisted coolant filling for compatible cooling-system openings. Tester Mode draws one of three selected vacuum levels (-35, -40 or -45 kPa) and reports the 60-second hold status; Filler Mode adds coolant after vacuuming. The 12 V / 5 A unit requires an external air supply and one of the three matching conical adapters.

Vacuum-Hold Test + Vacuum Fill
Filler Mode removes residual air and refills coolant. Tester Mode checks cooling-system sealing by drawing a vacuum and monitoring it through the hold period.
Automatic Coolant Filling
After vacuuming is complete in Filling Mode, the machine automatically starts adding coolant to the cooling system.
Vacuum-Hold Status
In Tester Mode, the machine applies the selected vacuum and reports a hold status. Use that status to check the adapter seal, connections, and cooling system, then inspect the suspected area if the hold is not maintained.

Test the System and Vacuum-Fill Coolant

Cool and Identify the System
Allow the cooling system to cool, identify the specified coolant and choose the supported test or fill mode.

Select and Seal the Adapter
Choose the fitting for the actual reservoir or radiator opening and inspect every hose connection.
Connect Power and Air
Drain residual coolant in an open area or collect it with a container.
After disconnecting from the vehicle, close the drain valve by turning it downward.
Press and hold the Tester Mode Start button until the buzzer sounds, then release.
Press Tester Mode Start to clean internal pipes.
Liquid will discharge from the filling port.
When no liquid comes out, press Tester Mode Stop, power off, and remove the compressed air hose.
Connect the specified 12 V DC supply and suitable compressed-air source, then confirm the control settings.
Run Testing or Filling
On startup, Testing Mode and Filling Mode show their gear selections. When one mode is selected, the gear display for the other mode disappears so the user can confirm the active mode more easily.
Apply the selected vacuum-hold or vacuum-fill mode while watching the pressure and vacuum readings, status indicators, and coolant flow.

Restore and Verify
Disconnect the machine, restore the vehicle circuit, complete the vehicle bleed procedure and verify final level and leak status.

Work Cold and Match the Service Port

Use a car battery or DC 12V power supply. Do not connect the SC301 to 24V, 110V, 220V, or 380V power.
Air Compressor Required
Connect the air inlet hose to an external air compressor. A compressor rated around 0.7MPa or higher is recommended before operation.
Vehicle Ignition Not Required
The cooling system test and coolant filling process does not require starting the vehicle.
Cool Before Opening
Before opening the radiator cap or coolant reservoir, make sure the radiator and cooling system have cooled down.

Does SC301 Need An External Air Compressor?
Yes. SC301 requires an external air compressor connected to the air source input. A compressor rated around 0.7MPa or higher is recommended for proper operation.
Can I Power SC301 With 24V, 110V, Or 220V?
No. SC301 is designed for DC 12V power only. Using 24V, 110V, 220V, or 380V may damage the equipment.
Does The Vehicle Need To Be Started During Testing?
No. Vehicle ignition is not required for SC301 cooling system testing or coolant filling.
Which Pressure Level Should I Choose?
SC301 provides three vacuum pressure levels: -35KPa, -40KPa, and -45KPa. Choose the level according to the vehicle condition and cooling system status. For older vehicles or aging components, use a lower pressure level.
What Do The Red And Green Lights Mean?
In Testing Mode, the green light means no leakage is detected, while the red light means leakage is detected. The machine completes its vacuum-hold check and then provides the indication automatically.
The red/green display reports vacuum-hold status for the selected check. If the hold fails, inspect the adapter seal, connections, and cooling system for the leak area.
What Happens During Testing Mode?
After the correct vacuum level is selected and the Start/Stop button is pressed, the machine starts vacuuming. Once vacuuming is complete, it enters a 60-second vacuum-hold mode and then gives an automatic leak detection result.
What Should I Do If The Selected Vacuum Level Cannot Be Maintained?
If the selected vacuum level cannot be achieved and maintained in Testing Mode, SC301 switches to its vacuum-hold mode within two minutes and displays a fault reminder. Check the cooling system connection, adapter sealing, hoses, and possible leak points before testing again.
What Happens During Filling Mode?
In Filling Mode, choose the suitable gear, press Start/Pause, and the machine begins vacuuming the cooling system. After vacuuming is complete, coolant is automatically filled into the system. If filling is not complete, multiple filling cycles can be performed.
What Should I Do If Coolant Does Not Enter During Filling Mode?
If no coolant enters the system within two minutes during Filling Mode, SC301 displays a fault reminder. Check whether the coolant inlet hose is placed correctly in the coolant container, whether the adapter is sealed, whether the drain valve is in the correct position, and whether the air compressor is connected properly.
