The AUTOOL SDT208 smoke leak detector is a professional automotive pipe and vacuum leak tester for repair shops, mobile mechanics, and advanced DIY diagnostics. It combines a built-in air pump, smoke mode, air mode, Standard Mode, and EVAP Mode to help locate low-pressure leaks in EVAP systems, intake lines, exhaust pipes, crankcase systems, fuel tanks, pipe fittings, turbo-related low-pressure areas, and other sealed automotive systems.<\/p>\n

Review the SDT208 power requirement, test oil rule, airflow regulator, operating time limit, high-temperature protection, and A\/C testing boundary before using the smoke leak detector.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

12V \/ 24V Battery Required<\/h3>\n

The SDT208 smoke leak detector must be connected to a DC 12V or DC 24V battery power supply before operation.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n

\n

Testing Oil Not Included<\/h3>\n

Testing liquid is not included due to logistics restrictions. Use liquid paraffin or baby oil purchased locally as the testing oil.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n

\n

Add 10-15ml Only<\/h3>\n

Fill 10-15ml testing oil before use. Do not overfill, and do not add more than 15ml each time.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n

\n

Open Airflow Regulator<\/h3>\n

Before use, gently turn the knob to open the airflow regulator valve and prepare the air path for testing.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n

\n

Refill Only When Smoke Is Thin<\/h3>\n

Add fresh oil only when the smoke becomes thin. Pour out remaining oil before adding fresh oil and replace detector oil regularly.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n

8-Minute Use Limit<\/h3>\n

Do not run the detector continuously for more than 8 minutes. Let the unit rest between test cycles.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n

75\u2103 Protection<\/h3>\n

If the working temperature exceeds 75\u2103, the intelligent protection system automatically shuts down power. Wait until the unit cools before using it again.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n

Hot Surface Warning<\/h3>\n

The round metal section of the detector can become hot during operation. Avoid direct contact to prevent burns.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n

A\/C System Boundary<\/h3>\n

Do not use the smoke leak detector to directly pressure-test an automotive A\/C high-pressure system. Use only for segment-assisted checks under proper conditions.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n <\/div>\n
